The idea for Zoiads came to Robleh, one of our founders, when we he was looking for a new film to watch. He knew he wanted to watch something good but had no particular idea about exactly what. As he browsed around Facebook he saw one of his friends recommended Office Space and immediately bought it. That led him to think how powerful a targeted ad served next to a friend's recommendation would be:

A new way to access word of mouth

We created Zoiads to give advertisers a simple way of accessing word of mouth. By browsing their friends' recommendations users are showing their general interest in finding something new but without a specific thought that would lead them to a search query. By purchasing ads based on their friends' recommendations you are showing the user an advert they actually want to see rather than interrupting them when they are concentrating on something else. This means the traffic through your Zoiads is more likely to convert.

Simple Cost Per Click text ads

The only way to buy Zoiads is to register an account here at Zoiads.com, then you can start buying words on a Cost Per Click (CPC) basis. For example, if you want to sell the Office Space DVD you can buy the phrase 'Office Space' and your ad will show each time that recommendation is clicked.

To purchase ads you will need a PayPal account. The minimum CPC is GBP0.02 (approx USD0.03).
